Established in 2009, the International Centre for Credentialing and Education of Addiction Professionals (ICCE) is an integral part of the global initiative funded by the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
ICCE was established to address the long-standing crisis of inadequate evidence-based programs in the region and a workforce shortage of trained addiction professionals. It has three primary functions: curriculum development, training, and credentialing. It has 110 master trainers in 60 countries around the world and has credentialed over 630 professionals.
ICCE is a NAADAC international certified education provider and collaborates with NAADAC to ensure its education programs and initiatives meet the highest standards of quality. In addition, the Chair of NAADAC’s National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals (NCC AP) serves on the Executive Board of the ICCE Commission to advise on international credentialing.
